Dermal fillers for hands & neck

The skin on our neck and hands loses its youthful appearance as its naturally volumising and moisturising hyaluronic acid diminishes with age. We can combat this by using dermal fillers that contain natural hyaluronic acid. A dermal filler, when injected, instantly adds volume to the areas where it has been lost, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

We use the Belotero range of fillers, which are FDA-approved for cosmetic use. These are not permanent, but in clinical studies 66% of clients continued to show improvement nine months after the first treatment. The hyaluronic acid breaks down over time, giving you freedom to decide if you wish to have further rejuvenation treatment in future. Many clients come at six-monthly or yearly intervals to maintain a fresh look.

Following an initial consultation to discuss your medical suitability, the procedure takes around 40 minutes. Belotero is designed to reduce any discomfort from dermal filler injections, but you can opt for a topical anaesthetic cream if your skin is sensitive.

We also use a dermal filler called Radiesse, composed of calcium and phosphate that occur naturally in human tissues. It is injected below the skin’s surface through a fine needle. Once injected, the particles form a scaffold to support and stimulate the production of the body’s own collagen. Radiesse is biodegradable and is gradually absorbed by the body. The results last up to 12 months or longer in some cases.
